FXCM UK Now Offers Spread Betting

Today, Forex Capital Markets Ltd. / FXCM UK (www.fxcm.co.uk) unveiled its spread betting product for UK residents.

FXCM UK uses a back-to-back execution model, variously called ‘agency execution’ or ‘No Dealing Desk’ execution and claims that spread betting orders will be filled without re-quotes.

FXCM’s liquidation model provides clients with real-time risk management. If a client’s position were to be liquidated they would not lose their entire initial margin and, therefore, won’t end up with a debit balance, i.e., owing FXCM money.

Thoughts: So now we have FXCM trying spread betting – only it is limited to forex at the moment. Must be a lot of food around for the big fish like FXCM…
