IG Index Ad questions Conservative-Liberal Democrats coalition

Financial spread betting provider IG Index has launched a national and regional print ad campaign around the consequences of the United Kingdom’s General Election result.

The campaign, by DDB London, relates the significance of economic policy under the new Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition with IG Index’s services.

One advert states: “If you’re thinking… ‘which way will Cameron send sterling?’ contact us.” It also provides a brief explanation about the workings of spread betting, stating: “Financial spread betting provides a simple, tax-free way to profit from rising and falling prices.”

The adverts, which will run in newspaper titles like City AM and the Evening Standard, constitute part of IG Index’s ‘Get Thinking’ brand campaign. Media planning and buying has been handled by Mediacom.
