Why I Don’t Follow The Trend

I have no problem with the key idea of holding onto a financial instrument for as long as possible while a trend develops, in order to run the profit. What I do have a problem with is waiting for a trend to develop before taking the position in the first place.

The trading pattern involves first establishing a long position at (let’s say) £1-per-point, at what you consider to be the bottom of the trading range. You then reverse the trade at what you judge to be the top of the trading range.
