There was a huge number of shares traded in Cameroon focused oil and gas explorer, Bowleven (BLVN), on Friday. Nearly 15 million shares were traded, with a significant amount of that in the auction after the close of normal trading.

Its been quite a month for investors in Range Resources with the shares up 33% over 4 weeks after an 8.5% rise today following a series of announcements, though unlucky long term holders are still well down on their investment with the shares down over 60% in the last year.

A bit of a surprise for Rockhopper Exploration and Mediterranean Oil & Gas (MOG) shareholders this morning with the announcement that they had reached agreement on the terms of a recommended £29.3 million acquisition of MOG by Rockhopper.
